Chief's Brain Salad

Radikal newspaper, which is known to home the extremist left-wing writers, includes a weekly column in its supplementary magazine, known as Radikal Book, that is written by literatus Cem Akas. "Chief's Salad" represents the title of his column. Let's taste the salad made by our chief on the 26th of Jan, 2007:

"Professor Raymond Kevorkian, who teachs at the Paris University, wrote a 1000-page long book representing his research on the Armenian Genocide. The title of the book is Genoside des Armeniens and it is published by Odile Jacob in France. It is very likely that, this book, which represents the most comprehensive study on the Armenian Genocide argument will never be published here, in Turkey. It is also very likely that, parts of it will not be allowed to quote. This is our most liked argumentation method, right? Answering without reading or looking at what the other side says... Is our new ancestary-sport shadow boxing?"

I say: It is really easy to try

Cem Akas is another national cultural referree for us! I am not really sure that he read Kevorkian's 1000-page long book, and I don't even think that he saw the book. As far as I know, Cem Akas was once working at a publishing house, in Turkey. Even if he doesn't work in that area, he was once a part of that world. Why doesn't he try suggesting this book to Yapi Kredi Publishing? In my opinion, it is also very possible that Sabanci University's and Bilgi University's liberal and 2nd Republican publishing houses can publish this "great" book.

Let us, for the time being, put Armenia aside, and let us check, for example, in France, how many books were published that claims that "there was no Armenian Genocide"?

And, for instance, can there be a book to examine the colloberation between France and Armenia in Klikya during 1918-1922 period, that lead to thousands of innocent people's death? As far as I know, there was none. Even though the language and the style were not very good, a book written by Selahatting Sert investigates that topic in his book called "French's plan to eliminate Armenians - Klikya - 1918-1922 / Hacin Death Camp". Do you think Odile Jacob publishing house would want to publish that book? Answer: They will throw this book to the trash before even opening its cover. Cem Akas can try this if he wants to see their response. Trying is free!!!

We know that, Cem Akas is a member of a group, whose most common attribute is to feel "completely" embrassed from their Turkish roots. Do you really think that, if he weren't like that, he would have given an unjust penalty in favor of France?

I say: Can you please ask?!

Our nation-mate Cem Akas, the one who suggested us the book written by Raymond Kevorkian, have you ever heard of the name Gaston Gaillard? I don't think so. Gaston Gaillard wrote a very important book, which was published by Chapelot Publishing in 1920. The book is titled as "Les Turcs et l'Europe". The book, as far as I know, couldn't be re-published later on because of its 7th chapter, which has the title of "Demembrement de l'Empire Ottoman". That is mainly because, the book was examining the (Armenian-related) events that took place around 1915. Cem Akas, can you please ask this not by writing an article but by using the "Reader's" column in one of the French newspaper or magazine?

My son and his friends who are living in United States, cannot publish their ideas using the reader's column for the last 20 years. I, as Ozdemir Ince, as the one who was awarded with Max Jacob award in France, as the one who is a member of Mallarme Academy and European Poetry Academy, and as the one who carries the Officier Medal, despite that qualities, couldn't publish my ideas in French newspapers and magazines. Because of that, I was writing my ideas in Hurriyet Newspaper's European Edition, in French.

I would be really glad, if our Salad Chief, Cem Akas, can help me publish those ideas.
